• Lecturer at the institute of zoology at the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz since 1995 and at the institute of science at the Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt under the MSc programme "Management of Protected Areas" since 2006
• Professional and popular science publications in the field of arachnology (taxonomy and bionomics of spiders, harvestmen and scorpions, fish ecology, zoology and conservation)
